Ferias, congresos, convenciones y otros eventos nacionales e internacionales han sido organizados por la ciudad en los últimos cinco años.
Desde el año 2013 se viene convocando el FORO ARRÒS A BANDA & A BANDA DE L’ARRÒS, un encuentro de investigación y reflexión dirigido a profesionales, estudiantes, empresarios, críticos y medios de comunicación. Consta de mesas redondas, conferencias y demostraciones gastronómicas. Paralelamente se celebra una Semana Gastronómica, en la que diversos restaurantes locales ofrecen menús con el arroz a banda como plato central. El foro es heredero del Concurso de Arroz a Banda, que se celebró en Dénia entre 1983 y 2013.
El CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL DE COCINA CREATIVA DE LA GAMBA ROJA DE DÉNIA toma el producto más conocido de la gastronomía local y lo ofrece a la creatividad de los profesionales. Desde 2012 un jurado de prestigio internacional elige entre 50 candidatos a los ocho finalistas que defenderán su plato en el Mercado Municipal de Dénia con una sesión de show cooking. El concurso ha logrado reunir a cocineros de gran proyección y generar una intensa actividad en las redes sociales.
En colaboración de las asociaciones de pescadores y empresarios de hostelería, desde el año 2014 se organizan las Jornadas Gastronómicas PEIX Y MAR. Se trata de una feria para dar a conocer y difundir la cocina del mar, en la que restaurantes y chefs locales ofrecen una degustación de platos elaborados con pescado y marisco fresco de la lonja de Dénia y su comarca. Las jornadas pretenden promocionar el uso en la gastronomía local de los productos del mar con menor salida comercial.

The INTERNATIONAL «DÉNIA RED PRAWN CREATIVE CUISINE» places the local gastronomy’s most renowned product in the hands of professional creativity. Since 2012, a jury of international prestige selects 8 finalists amongst the 50 candidates to defend their dish during a show cooking session at the Dénia Town Market. The contest has brought together chefs with promising futures and generates intense activity in social networks.
Since 2014, the «PEIX Y MAR» (Fish and Sea) Culinary Fair is organized in collaboration with the associations of fishermen and restaurant owners. Its purpose is to promote and disseminate seafood cuisine, and local restaurants and chefs offer tastings of dishes prepared with fresh fish and shellfish from the fish markets of Dénia and its region. The Fair boosts the use of sea products that are less popular commercially in local gastronomy.
Since July 2013, the «MERCAT DEL RIURAU» (Riurau Market) is held weekly under the arches of an ancient, traditional agricultural construction in Jesús Pobre, in Dénia. Farmers and chefs offer local, in-season products obtained using organic, traditional processes. The evolution of this market has included the organisation of cultural activities, and its success has boosted the creation of others MERCATS DE LA TERRA (Farmers Markets) in towns of the Marina Alta like Xaló, Jesús Pobre, La Vall de Gallinera, La Vall de Laguar, Orba, Benissa and Pego.
