The CdT offers an EMPLOYEMENT TRAINING PROGRAM committed to the professional training of unemployed persons for their insertion in the labour market. In 2014, this group was offered 21 different courses, with a total of 69 participants.
The
CdT in Dénia is a state-of-the-art building of 3,600 m² and four floors dedicated to training of professionals from the sectors of gastronomy and tourism. Its installations include professional equipment, four kitchens, three staff shops, a bakery, two wine-tasting rooms and several dining rooms for use by interns.
Dénia, together with another eight towns of the region and other public entities, supports
CREAMA, the Consortium for the Recovery of the Economy and the Activity of the Marina Alta. Since 20 years ago, a pioneer in Spain, it is a referent in creating programs for promoting employment, training entrepreneurs, labour insertion and local development projects and studies. The food and restaurant sector is amongst its priorities.
The
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND NAVIGATION of the province of Alicante hosts a Business Incubator at its building in Dénia, offers training and advice, and offers new companies support, most pursuing creative, entrepreneurial activities.
Since 2011, Dénia has URBAN FRUIT AND VEGETABLE GARDENS, 93 small spaces granted to local producers that are committed to using the land for cultivating autochthonous crops.
Since 2005, the Public Health Centre in Dénia has implemented a program to promote healthy nutrition amongst CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS. This program includes training courses for professionals, workshops for adults, and group sessions to promote the Mediterranean diet, different culinary techniques and planning of menus. The program is offered to schools with the goal of improving eating habits amongst children and adolescents.
